Dueling Darling Divas "July" Challenge

Can you believe its July!!!!!!!!!. Here we are once again with another Dueling Darlings Challenge. I really, really, really love this kit. Why, because Laura our fantastic hostess sent us the most adorable, simple, but totally lovable kit. She sent us fabric flowers, buttons, one of my favorite designer paper "October Afternoon" and our stamped image Gardening Flopsey "My Favorite Image Stamp" is so adorable with a poignant sentiment(You're the cream of the crop). I cannot continue on with what else she sent. If you would look at my card, I used everything but the Ladybug button and a few other items, I made a second card from this kit.(The first for me)

We were given another challenge to say something about someone we have a great friendship. My best friend and I have been friends since we were thirteen years old. We were maid of honors at each other weddings, godparents to each other kids, go on vacation together, etc. What makes our friendship so unique, we are so different from each other except for reading books. She loves TV and can tell you about majority of the shows on TV, me you can count on one finger how many shows I watch on TV. I'm a commited hobbyist, she does not do any types of craft, she loves, loves to cook. I can take it or leave it. (I'm learning how to cook). I love the Chicago Botantical Gardens, Morton Arboretum, etc, she can take it or leave it.

However, we talk a minimum of twice a week, we always go on a trip, take in a movie, go to breakfast, lunch or dinner and just have girl fun.

Brenda and I have been friends for over fourty years and I wouldn't trade her friendship for anything else.

Please look to your left for the rest of the Dueling Divas and then click on Ranger's and you must visit the Dazzlers.

Dueling Darling Divas June Challenge

Dueling Darling June Challenge.

Barb (Our Hostess) and Michelle decided on a wonderful theme for June "The Great Outdoors". You would not believe our kit. The images, embellishments and the DP is something that you would want in your stash. I have enough to make two more cards.

They have added another challenge to this duel, we must tell a story relating to the theme.

I was a Girl Scout Leader, of course I was the best. I kept my girls safe, we loved our camping trips, hiking, cooking, singing, I love singing with the girls at night and telling scary stories. Of course, I'm not scared of anything and my girls knew this.

However, I was married at the time and my ex had informed the a few of the Girl Scouts, that I'm afraid of mice.

Of course, you know what the girl scouts did. It took them two days to catch a few field mice and they let them loose in my Tent. Of course, being Joan, I screamed, screamed, and screamed. I wanted to punish each and everyone of them. One of the scouts said, that God made all creatures and we must respect their habitant. We were the ones encroaching on their land in our beautiful Forest.

Of course, I had to behave like an adult and give credits to the Scouts. I never found out who caught the mice. Yes, I'm petrified of mice today.

Please go to your right and look at the other DD on our team: Judy, Barb (Our hostess), Lj, Janice, Kelly, Carol, and Joan (ME). Once you have looked at our click on Ranger's site for the next fabulous group

Mystery Swap

I fell in love with the stamped image, Tami sent us for our Mystery Swap Image. She sent us a ticket, DP paper with the stamped image of a cute little girl (with the frog at her feet, isn't he cute) I had the perfect paper, that fit the image, and I stamped on the ticket, every cloud has a silver lining. DP with umbrella made the perfect background for the stamped image. I used nestabilities, with a little bling to give it a little shine. I hope you like it and look at everyone's image for the Mystery Swap.

Round 9 of the Dueling Darling Divas

Hi, welcome to Round 9 of the Dueling Darling Divas/Dazzlers.

I can't believe I'm a hostess again. It was so much fun putting together a challenging kit for this month. It had to be a challenge, I wanted them to put their creativity to work, and knowing these ladies. I know they did, so check out the Divas and then head ove to Jeanette's blog for the Dazzlers:

The Theme this month is "Movie Night". I can hear you now, this will be easy. OH, NO, I created a challenge, of going old shcool. ( I think that is what the kids say).

Invite your friends over, serve candy in a bowl, pop some popcorn with real butter, maybe a hot dog, etc. you know what to do. Watch a few old black and white movies, which you can see free on http://www.bnwmovies.com/. Have fun and list your favorite five movies of all times.

The kit is challenging, because the colors are muted, remember the old mvies, were black and white.

The kit consist of the following:

The Stamp set by Hamptoin Art (Icoordiantes with Graphic 45 paper: Curtain Call.

Hampton Art Cling Stamp (You're old school),

Mad Hatter's Tea Party Stamp set (Isn't it time we got together.

The stamps are stamped on vanilla paper

Memento Ink: rich cocoa and Tuxedo Black

DP (Graphic 45, Curtain Call)

Embellishments: ribbons, bling brads, buttons, 3 roses, 3d red ticket.

Please look at the Dueling Darling Divas to your right, and once you have completed our group:You will find all the Dueling Darling Dazzlers on Jeanette Rangers Blog.

Foxy

Hi everyone, Here's a few picture, Joan has taken of me. She tried to post on SCS, but it took so long, she decided to put me on her blog. Can you believe it, I'm on a blog. Let me tell you about the pictures. My favorite one is when Joan took me out of the box, she had my friends: The Wise Owl and Peace. I was so happy, I forgave her for leaving me at the PO, over the weekend. We had a busy day today. We went to Trader's Joe, where everyone wanted to talk to me. So, they took pictures and placed me on the keypad. I had a balloon, but Joan let it go. We stopped at Kohl's, that is a cool store, I met a few of her co workers, they all told me, she never works. (smile). I started shaking when we went to the PO, I thought here we go again. Everyone came out to meet me, and I explained, I was one of the boxes, left in the back. So, Joan and I had our picture taken by Denise, she works at the PO. Joan, not me ,almost forgot to mail her package for the Mystery Swap. (What am I'm going to do with her). I told her she must hurry home, because she has to wash, pack, eat dinner, clean the cat litter, call Rich, and her Son. I told her I wanted to watch American Idol, she wanted to listen to Jazz. Guess who Won (Winning) ME. I hope you enjoy these pictures. She promise to take a picture of my house and my bed. I'm getting tired, so we must prepare for the SPA. Foxy

Dueling Darlings

The Dueling Darling Divas are at it again we are battling the Dueling Darling Dazzlers. We have a different hostess every month in each group who sends everyone in their group a kit centering around a theme. Our Kelly who is celebrating her Birthday this month, has provided us the following theme: Being A Kid at Heart
The kit consist of the following: Stamp Image: Riley and Company" Bouncing Ball Riley, sheets of fun DP, Washi Tape ribbon in bright colors, Misc. card stock rick-rack ribbon, multi-colored buttons, Heidi Grace faiux brads and a HANDMADE plastic flowers w/MM brad centers.
Then to make up think, she add a challenge. (My challenge piece was a puzzle piece.!!!!!!
As you can see I had fun with this one. I was a mischievous and curious child. However, I was totally uncoordinated. So, I made a trifold card, with Riley upside down, (that's me, always the opposite of everyone else, when I start something, After many tries, I finally righted myself. I'm a lover of puzzle, so my piece became two pieces of puzzles at the opposite end of my card to fit my personality. I really had fun with this card and I know you will like everyone else on our team.
Once you finish our team, jump onto Jeanette Ranger's blog and visit the Dazzlers: Enjoy

My saying is First, he ate some lettuces and some French beans; and then he ate some radishes;and then feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley. But., round the end of a cucumber frame, who should he meet but Mr. Mcgregor!

The Solved Mystery Swap. 02/19/2011
We are a group of ladies who receive an image, and then we let creativity take over. As an avid reader, I cannot express how much I love this image sent in by Gael. I'm always surrounded by books and in each room in my house I have a few books sitting around.
The front of the card, I used DP showing shelves of books. The center stamp is a (PTI) All Booked Up . The Brown CS is PTI, Stamp of Books (Serendipity Stamp)
The girl sitting on the books and the kitty is by (Artful Inkies) Think Big
