First Anya Card
I've finally colored an Anya image and I feel pretty good about it. I was definitely scared about coloring her skin tone and hair, but I went online and watched a video, I don't know how many times. So, I hope everyone like my first result. I did this card for the Mystery Swap, the DP is from my stash with no name, but perfect for the Mystery Swap. Plus, teal is one of my favorite colors, so, I used my favorite color and I also used the last sheet of my paper and ribbon.

DDD's December Challenge
December DDD's challenge is here, our fantastic hostgess, provided us with an Inky Antics images. Isn't he cute. The DP is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, and oh my accessories galore, plus a box that I left at work.
Of course, I had to sprinkle the Santa with Sticles Glitters everywhere, because he kept smiling at me. I really love this one. Thank you my fantastic hostess Laura Jean.
I'm suppose to list something that I truly appreciate and love. I love it when I wake up each morning, I appreciate the small things, such as a beautiful blanket of snow, a robin, the first blade of grass trying to come thru, a beautiful sunset, a cup of tea and a good book, listening to jazz, when I feel frazzled and frustrated. I didn't want to say the normal things, of what I love, just what I see every day, by myself thru my eyes only. I try to start each new day with something that nature has provided me to see.
PLEASE GO TO EVERYONE'S BLOG AND THEN GO TO RANGER'S BLOG TO SEE THE OTHER COMPETITORS.

Tags
I've finally completed my first Christmas Tag Swap and I totally fell in love with it.
The First set is "The Twelve Days of Christmas" , once I send it in, I will have the complete verse of tags. I had 8 maids a milking. I used my crccut Country Life for the maid milking a cow and I had to make 15 tags. I discovered something about myself, I had to change each tag just a little, so it will have its own identity. So, everyone will have something unique about their tag.
The second tag, I made 15, (Twas the night before Christmas, when all thru the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The stocking were hung by the chimmey with care, In hope that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

It's that time again, our Fantastic Hostess for the month (Barb) provided us a kit you would not believe, ( I think she forgot that we are making one card) Barb's kit was so much fun to open ( we had DP, brads, three types of ribbons, felt leaves, bling. buttons, and a beautiful stamp with a sentiment. We had to express who mean so much to us, I started my list and I decided that with the year that I've had and so many people that you and I know. I'm thankful for all my friends, SCS, acquaintances, and my immediate Family.

This is the second set of pictures
The miniatures houses below are no larger than 3 1/2 in tall and 3 1/2 wide. They open up and you can decorate them.
The ones you cannot open are Hallmark Seasonal Christmas ornament houses
The one below, I really love is a Modern White Leather Couch and Chair
with a cocktail table that is popular and has been in the Art Institute Modern Pieces.
The Lamp is Ceramic, painted white /gray and you can light it up, has a miniature bulb,
I did not make any of these, no way would I attempt this at this quality and level of detail.

Missing In Action
The past two months has been extremely hectic for me. My lastest adventure is the preparation for displaying my miniatures at Orland Park Library.

Posting to my blog
I must confess to everyone, posting to my blog is like taking one step forward and ten steps back. It took me over two 1/2 hours to post the blog for our DDD, longer than it took me to create my card. One day, I will get blogging correctly, learn how to add links simply, without typing each one in. Maybe, if I set down and just work with it, it would get better. Anyway, it was fun.

Good morning, welcome to the second round of Dueling Darling Divas. We are a gorup of fantastic paper crafters and decided to put a new twist on crafting challenge the "DUEL". We the Darling Dueling Divas have one image/card kit to work with and our other "DUELERS", the Dueling Darling Dazzlers have another image kit to work. What makes this so much fun, we have selected the same theme, but different stamps which leads to loads of creativity.
The theme this month is "CUTE AND CUDDLY". This month, I selected one of my favorite stamps "Fly Away" by Penny Black. Who can resist such a cutle little boy, with baggy pants, big hat, holding his airplane, with his puppy rubbing his legs, waiting for you to hug him and his puppy.
Each one in our group was sent CS by Kiwi Embrodiery Paper, ribbon by Offray, white paper clip, jump rings, brads and buttons by Paper Trey.
Let the Games begin.
I decided to do an easel card, and it was so much fun. I hope you like it

The theme this month: "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!" It's still summer, and one of the best summer treats is ice cream?
I, Joan created this card with ice cream on the brain.
Now make sure to stop by to see the Divas and then your final stop will be the Dazzlers! This is just a friendly joust, no winners, certainly no losers! Just a craftin, loveable group of friends taking on a monthly joust at card making.

Today is a wonderful day, I've just received a notice from Todd & Holland (A tea shop owner in Forest Park, Illinois) I've been purchasing tea and teapots from this shop for over ten years. They plan to write something about my exhibit in their future newsletter.
